Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Oracle had together issued more than $228 billion of bonds as of 13 October, on LSEG's count, more than double the total for all of 2025 — and of the four, CNBC reported, only Oracle lacks an investment-grade rating at S&P. Oracle's own cost of that debt showed it the same day: the 6.25 percent note maturing in November 2032 was yielding 7.24 percent to maturity, a full point above its coupon, meaning the market now prices Oracle's existing debt well below what Oracle pays on it. In a post dated 7 October, OCI head Karan Batta said Oracle Cloud Infrastructure now had more than 225 live and planned cloud regions and had added 850 MW of data-center capacity in the preceding quarter. It is Oracle's own measure of how fast the build is running, stated in megawatts rather than dollars.

Oracle announced a commitment to absorb approximately $300 million in rising energy costs for Wisconsin ratepayers. Oracle said the commitment was part of its Wisconsin energy strategy for Project Lighthouse and involved a planned Point Beach Nuclear Plant electricity subscription.

Oracle shares closed down 3.5% after the Project Jupiter force-majeure notice was disclosed. Axios reported that the shares had recovered from steeper losses earlier in the session.

Oracle sent a force-majeure notice to the developer of Project Jupiter, a Blue Owl Capital unit. Axios identified the developer as Stack Infrastructure and reported concerns about a possible completion delay.

Reuters reported that about $18 billion in loans tied to an Oracle-leased New Mexico data center traded at 89 to 91 cents on the dollar. The report identified Santander and Jefferies as syndicate banks quoting the loans.

Oracle and Vantage Data Centers announced a Wisconsin public-information campaign for Project Lighthouse. They said Project Lighthouse was investing $175 million in local water, wastewater, and power infrastructure upgrades.

Oracle announced investments in Texas wind-generation projects delivering more than 1.7 GW of carbon-free electricity. The projects were intended to support the ERCOT grid serving Oracle’s Abilene AI facility.

Oracle said it booked more than $30 billion of additional AI cloud contracts in its fiscal first quarter, taking remaining performance obligations to $664 billion, and that the way those contracts were structured meant no incremental impact on its plans to raise capital. Quarterly revenue rose 30 percent to $19.3 billion.

AMD launched the Instinct MI400 series, with the MI455X in Helios racks for frontier AI and the MI430X for sovereign AI and HPC, and named OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, Oracle, HUMAIN, Tensorwave, Vultr and Cirrascale among the organisations choosing Helios.

Oracle ended fiscal 2026 with remaining performance obligations of $638 billion, up 363 percent year over year and $85 billion higher than a quarter earlier. Free cash flow for the year was negative $23.7 billion as the company kept building cloud-infrastructure capacity.

Oracle began telling employees their roles were eliminated as part of a broader organisational change, with the cuts in the thousands, as its stock fell 25 percent in the year on capital commitments for AI infrastructure; TD Cowen had estimated that cutting 20,000 to 30,000 of its 162,000 staff would free $8 to $10 billion of cash flow. Its annual report later showed headcount down to about 141,000.

Oracle reported remaining performance obligations of $553 billion, up 325 percent year over year.

NVIDIA unveiled the Rubin platform, which it said comprised six chips. It said AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure would be among the first to deploy Vera Rubin-based instances.

Oracle said it expected to raise $45 billion to $50 billion of gross cash proceeds during calendar 2026. The statement described a calendar-year funding plan.

Oracle reported that remaining performance obligations increased by $68 billion in the second quarter to $523 billion. It said the increase included new commitments from Meta, NVIDIA, and others.

AMD said Oracle would be the first hyperscaler to offer a publicly available AI supercluster powered by 50,000 MI450 Series GPUs. The offering was scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026.

OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank announced five new U.S. AI data-center sites under Stargate. The announcement identified the sites as Stargate projects.

Oracle said it signed four multibillion-dollar contracts with three customers in the first quarter. The statement was included in Oracle's fiscal-2026 first-quarter financial-results release.

Oracle said its remaining performance obligations reached $455 billion at the end of its fiscal first quarter, up 359 percent in both dollars and constant currency, on quarterly revenue of $14.9 billion. The disclosure recast a database company as a contracted supplier of AI compute.

OpenAI and Oracle entered an agreement to develop 4.5 gigawatts of additional Stargate data-center capacity in the United States. The agreement concerned the Stargate project.

At Advancing AI 2025 AMD said MI350 series accelerators were already deploying at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with broad availability in the second half of 2025, and previewed Helios, a rack-scale system built on the coming MI400 series GPUs, Zen 6 EPYC "Venice" CPUs and Pensando "Vulcano" NICs.

Oracle closed fiscal 2025 with remaining performance obligations of $138 billion, up 41 percent, the last reading before the figure more than tripled a quarter later.

OpenAI named SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX as the initial equity funders in Stargate. The announcement identified Oracle as one of the project’s initial funders.

At Advancing AI 2023 AMD announced availability of the MI300X accelerator and the MI300A APU. Microsoft announced Azure virtual machines built on MI300X, Oracle Cloud planned MI300X offerings, and Dell, HPE, Lenovo and Supermicro showed systems using the parts.
