Wizards then moved licensed properties into major retail sets and, for 2025, scheduled three Universes Beyond sets in a six-set calendar while making new Universes Beyond booster sets legal in all Constructed formats; it announced the same three-and-three split for 2027. Hasbro reported Magic revenue growth of 59 percent in 2025, a growth rate it attributed first to Universes Beyond, followed by backlist and Secret Lair; its Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment generated $1,007 million of operating profit, an absolute figure, at a 46.0 percent operating margin, while Final Fantasy became the highest-selling Magic set by net revenues. The financial disclosures remain aggregated: Hasbro does not disclose license costs, individual Universes Beyond-set revenue, or a separate contribution from Secret Lair, even as it said Marvel Super Heroes led Magic past $500 million in quarterly revenue for the first time and the Final Fantasy quarter also included a $1.0 billion non-cash goodwill impairment.", "hero_image": "https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1593814681464-eef5af2b0628?ixid=M3w5OTg1Nzd8MHwxfGFsbHx8fHx8fHx8fDE3OTE2OTI5MTR8&ixlib=rb-4.1.0&w=1600&q=80&auto=format&fit=crop", "hero_credit": { "source": "unsplash", "photo_id": "Vp8RnXSnJ6I", "photographer": "Ryan Quintal", "photographer_url": "https://unsplash.com/@ryanquintal?utm_source=whatledto&utm_medium=referral", "photo_url": "https://unsplash.com/photos/4-ps-4-game-cases-Vp8RnXSnJ6I?utm_source=whatledto&utm_medium=referral", "description": "Magic The Gathering Collectable Card Game Foil Mana", "license": "", "license_url": "" }, "entities": [ { "id": "amc", "name": "AMC", "kind": "company", "role": "Named partner for the 2020 Secret Lair x The Walking Dead crossover." }, { "id": "hasbro", "url": "https://whatledto.com/who/hasbro", "json": "https://whatledto.com/who/hasbro.json", "name": "Hasbro", "kind": "company", "role": "Parent company that reports Magic and Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming financial results." }, { "id": "wizards-of-the-coast", "url": "https://whatledto.com/who/wizards-of-the-coast", "json": "https://whatledto.com/who/wizards-of-the-coast.json", "name": "Wizards of the Coast", "kind": "company", "role": "Magic’s publisher and the company that announces releases, product structures, legality, and pricing-policy changes." }, { "id": "assassins-creed", "name": "Assassin's Creed", "kind": "product", "role": "Franchise whose 2024 Magic release introduced Beyond Boosters." }, { "id": "avatar-the-last-airbender", "name": "Avatar: The Last Airbender", "kind": "product", "role": "Franchise behind a November 2025 Universes Beyond release cited by Hasbro as supporting Magic’s record 2025." }, { "id": "beyond-boosters", "name": "Beyond Boosters", "kind": "product", "role": "Booster format introduced with the Assassin’s Creed Universes Beyond release." }, { "id": "bloomburrow", "name": "Bloomburrow", "kind": "product", "role": "Magic set used as a comparison for Constructed legality." }, { "id": "collector-boosters", "name": "Collector Boosters", "kind": "product", "role": "Premium booster line whose contents and rarity treatment will also change from the first 2027 set." }, { "id": "doctor-who", "name": "Doctor Who", "kind": "product", "role": "Franchise used for the October 2023 Magic release." }, { "id": "draft-boosters", "name": "Draft Boosters", "kind": "product", "role": "Booster format combined into Play Boosters." }, { "id": "fallout", "name": "Fallout", "kind": "product", "role": "Franchise used for the March 2024 Magic release." }, { "id": "final-fantasy", "name": "Final Fantasy", "kind": "product", "role": "Franchise behind the June 2025 set that Hasbro calls Magic’s highest-selling set of all time by net revenues." }, { "id": "fortnite", "name": "Fortnite", "kind": "product", "role": "Franchise used in Secret Lair drops." }, { "id": "foundations", "name": "Foundations", "kind": "product", "role": "Magic release from which MSRP listing resumed." }, { "id": "lorwyn-eclipsed", "name": "Lorwyn Eclipsed", "kind": "product", "role": "Magic release cited by Hasbro as contributing to growth." }, { "id": "magic-multiverse", "name": "Magic Multiverse", "kind": "product", "role": "Category of Magic sets in the 2027 schedule." }, { "id": "magic-the-gathering", "name": "Magic: The Gathering", "kind": "product", "role": "The core game whose release calendar, Constructed legality, booster products, and revenue are being reshaped." }, { "id": "marvel", "name": "Marvel", "kind": "product", "role": "Crossover partner for the 2024 Secret Lair Superdrop and the Spider-Man, Marvel Super Heroes, and planned Darkhold Destiny Magic releases." }, { "id": "marvel-super-heroes", "name": "Marvel Super Heroes", "kind": "product", "role": "Magic release cited by Hasbro as leading quarterly revenue." }, { "id": "play-boosters", "name": "Play Boosters", "kind": "product", "role": "Booster type that combined Draft and Set Boosters;
